I hope it's not true. I have been enjoying this so-called war between Fox news and the White House.
It's so funny that the White House was calling Fox news "biased" yet they didn't ever let out so much as a whimper about MSNBC, which is the most biased news channel of all and which makes Fox News look like a picnic by comparison.
Much more than ever we need news media that can keep the politicians honest and responsible. Obama and company have told so many lies about their policies, yet most of the MSM gives them a free pass. There is only Fox News and a very few print outlets, plus talk radio out there to try to apply journalistic standards to an administration that tries to bully and intimidate anyone who dares to disagree with them and tell the truth.
This is all about politics and the fact that Obama is too thin skinned to take any legitimate criticism. With CNN and MSNBC, plus the broadcast networks in their hip pocket, I guess that the White House believed that FNC would be an easy target. Oh how they were wrong. Score it Fox News 1, White House 0.
FishbowlDC scoops that Fox News SVP Michael Clemente met with White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs this morning and the two reached what some are calling a "truce" in the ongoing and very public war of words between the Obama administration and the news network.Maybe the White House has finally realized that their clumsy attempt to take on Fox News has backfired. It has only resulted in increased publicity for FNC and higher ratings for a channel which was already beating it's competition hands down.

Dick Cheney is my hero.
At least we still have one politician, or in Dick's case former politician, who is willing to stand up for our brave troops fighting in Afghanistan to protect we Americans from the scourge of terrorism. Vice President Cheney is 100% correct, the Obama Administration is "dithering" while our troops are in danger. It's the "Nero fiddled while Rome burns" syndrome all over again. The time is now to reinforce our troops, and we can't depend on the Europeans to send more troops. As usual, it comes down to the USA to stand up for freedom.
Cheney debunked the lie put out by Rahm Emanuel "that the Bush administration had been adrift concerning the war in Afghanistan." As the Vice President said last night, the current administration is trying to blame others for it's failures instead of making the hard necessary decisions to support our brave troops.

Yes, this is all about politics. A good and decent public servant is one who will not put narrow political interests ahead of what is best for the country and what is best for our troops. In that regard, Obama fails miserably.
If the radical left wing gets it's way, we will pull out of Afghanistan lock stock and barrel and then place our homeland in danger of another massive terrorist attack after the Taliban and their friends from Al Qaeda take over again.

So how has Obama done with the economy so far?
I guess that from Obama's perspective, he has done a great job so far. I suppose that it's only natural for a president to have a favorable opinion of himself and the quality of the job that he is doing. But from the point of view of Obama's constituents, the American people, what has Obama really done to help this country solve it's economic problems? The answer is nothing. In fact, he is making things worse.
He has presided over a massive expansion of the federal debt. By comparison, President Bush's deficit spending was peanuts. This expanded debt is having many unfavorable consequences for our country. We are hobbling the future of our children. We are risking virulent inflation. And his so-called stimulus plan hasn't helped at all. Unemployment continue to rise. I just read today that my home state of Nevada's unemployment rate is now 13.3%. And several other states are just as bad. I thought that Obama's stimulus bill was supposed to bring down unemployment, but since it was enacted, unemployment continues to rise, not fall as Obama promised it would. And I doubt that there is any end to this turmoil in sight.
Yet, in spite of already huge deficits, Obama continues to advocate more and more federal spending which will only add to the deficit and our national debt. Obama had better watch it before the Chinese and others stop buying our debt causing the already depressed value of our dollar to take a real nosedive. If that happens, there will be a financial calamity which will make last fall look like a picnic.
Then to top it off Obama says that he doesn't want to extend the Bush tax cuts when they expire. That is a very real recipe for disaster. If you think the economy is depressed now, just watch what happens when those tax cuts expire and the American people have less money in their pockets to spend. Great depression here we come.
The Republicans in Congress have got to pull out all the stops and fight Obama tooth and nail over his handling of the economy. The GOP cannot be seen to cooperate with a president who is destroying our country. I know they don't have much power, but the GOP can use stalling tactics to try to bottle up Obama's priorities in the Senate even though the Republicans have only forty votes. Then we have got to try to hold out until the 2010 elections when the voters can elect more Republicans who can stop Obama's agenda dead in it's tracks.

If you don't like what they are saying about you, then try to marginalize them. That is what the Obama Administration is trying to do with Fox News. Not since Richard Nixon declared war on the New York Times have we seen anything like this.
Yes, commentary on Fox news can be hard on the administration sometimes, but don't we need exposure to contrary points of view? You won't get that on either CNN or MSNBC. Both of them are in the administration's hip pocket. It's only Fox News and a few other sources such as the Washington Times who provide any type of counterweight whatsoever. In a free society we need an inquiring press, so thankfully Fox News is there to provide that roll.
Apparently, the American people appreciate having Fox News around to keep Obama and his minions honest, because the Fox News Channel gets better ratings than CNN and MSNBC do combined.
And I think therein lies the problem for the administration. Having a highly rated news organization around to provide the American people with another point of view just isn't something that Obama and friends can countenance.
These attacks on Fox news will backfire of course. The more they whine about Fox News, the more attention Fox will get and the better their ratings will be. That's just the way it is and the administration had better get used to it.
I think that eventually they will realize that their attacks on Fox News are counterproductive, and it will stop. But in the mean time, we can all get a good laugh at the administrations' foolery and incompetence.
Fox News has a huge audience. You would think that Obama would want to take the opportunity to talk to the Fox audience. But instead he his hiding from Fox. Come on Mr. President, you are supposed to be the president of all the people. Why don't you go on Fox news and engage? If your ideas are so good then go on Fox and defend them.

Rush Limbaugh and the NFL

This is what we have come to in this country since Obama and his den of thieves took over. Radio host Rush Limbaugh was part of a group that is trying to buy a National Football League team, the St. Louis Rams. He would have been a minority owner of the team and he would not have controlled the team. But nevertheless he has been forced out of this prospective ownership group because he has the audacity to be a conservative. What a travesty that is and what a sorry state that this once great country is in now that Obama has taken over.
Since when is there a political litmus test over who can own an NFL team? Of course Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton had to get their two cents in on this, and they called Rush a racist. To them the terms "conservative" and "racist" are synonymous, but that's a lie and I'm sure that deep down inside even they know that.
This is nothing more or less than conservative bashing. Since the left wing took over the federal government, it is open season on patriots. It seems that anyone who doesn't go along with their left wing agenda is a racist and a "wingnut." We conservatives are now members of an extremist fringe group to hear them talk. This truly is a sad day for America, and I fear that it will only get worse before it gets better.
Lets make one thing clear. Rush Limbaugh doesn't need to own an NFL team. He already is a multimillionaire and he is doing just fine as the host of the number one rated radio program in America. Rush just wanted to help this prospective ownership group keep the Rams, an original NFL franchise, in St. Louis. Rush loves the game of football, and he just wanted to help. But what thanks does he get for his good intentions? He gets called a racist by the Jesse Jacksons of this world. This is the same so-called reverend who got caught fathering illegitimate children, then denied it at first until evidence forced him to admit it. Yet this guy who calls himself a reverend has the temerity to call Rush a racist?
This plays right in to the left wing mime that anyone who opposes our first half black president is a racist. They have trotted out the race card and they fully intend to milk it for all it's worth.
In the 2010 midterm elections lets begin the process of getting this crowd out of power. Then we can complete the task by throwing Obama out of office in 2012 by electing a legitimate president who will stand up for this country and protect free speech, whether it be from conservatives or liberals.

What has Barack Obama done to deserve the Noble Peace Prize? In my opinion, nothing. Heck, he has only been in office for nine months. But then we have to realize where this is coming from.
The committee that decides who wins this prize is from socialist Norway. Need I say more? You know that they would have never given the prize to a true American patriot such as President George W. Bush. But Obama is going around apologizing for past American foreign policy. He has buddied up with Hugo Chavez and he has stabbed democracy in Honduras in the back. Of course, he is also very strongly anti Israel. So of course the socialists from Norway love him.
So now Obama joins the likes of Al Gore and Jimmy Carter is winning the infamous prize. That puts Obama in nefarious company where he belongs. Then we get to hear his bullshit about how he is "both honored and humbled to win the Nobel Peace Prize." Excuse me while I barf.
I am going to laugh when this debacle backfires on Obama politically. The American people will see this for the fraud that it is. And this fits right in with Obama's main job description since his total existence as a politician is a fraud.
And then we have this.

Senator Demint both encouraged and saddened over Honduras

Thank you Senator Demint for standing up for freedom in Honduras. I hope that everyone will see Greta Van Sustern's interview with Senator Demint which I have posted here.
Senator Demint makes some excellent points in the video. Honduras is the best friend that the United States has in Latin America, yet Barack Obama supports allowing the tyrant Manuel Zelaya to return to office even though the the Supreme Court of Honduras has legally banned him. Zelaya aspires to be the next Hugo Chavez and apparently Obama is OK with that. What a disgrace this poor excuse for an American president is. But at least we have Senator Demint and others like him standing up for democracy in Honduras. By the way, why don't you run for president Senator Demint? We desperately need you.
David Letterman

So Letterman apologized to his wife during today's taping of his program. He also apologized to his staff. But when will he apologize to the American people for his savage and hypocritical treatment of Sarah Palin and her family? That dirty old man was banging female members of his staff who worked for him while at the same time joking that Alex Rodriguez had knocked up Sarah Palin's teen-aged daughter. There has got to be some delicious irony in the fact that Letterman has been exposed for the perverted fraud that he is.Yes, out of curiosity a lot of people will tune in to his show for a few days, and let's face it, with the dreadful Conan O'Brien as his competition at NBC, his ratings may not suffer for the time being.
But in the long term who is going to want to watch this dirty old man anymore? He hasn't been funny for a long time, but now to add insult to injury, not only is he not funny but we know now that he is a creep.
And now it has even come out that Letterman "kept a secret bedroom at his television studio for trysts with female staff." (Link) I wonder how many were lured into that room for sex with Letterman over the years. This is just absolutely unbelievable, yet I guess we are going to have to believe it. He was using his position as the show's host as well as the head of the company that produces the show to get women. Doesn't that fall under the legal definition of sexual harassment? Shouldn't charges be filed against Letterman? And just wait. Pretty soon the civil lawsuits will start to pop up. Letterman's multi-million dollar bank account will be too much to resist. And I say good for that. I hope they take him for all he has and then some.
It's really too bad that Letterman's wife will now be forced to face such humiliation. Will she divorce him? Only time will tell, but it usually does turn out that the aggrieved family usually suffers the most, often even more that the perpetrator does. I know it's not fair but that's often the way it is.
Letterman of course is not the first to suffer from a sex scandal. Lately many prominent politicians from both major political parties have been caught with their pants down so to speak. And who can forget the biggest sexual scandal of all involving Bill Clinton which in my opinion should have cost him his office? But that's politics. On the other hand David Letterman is a veteran television personality who has made a living off from joking about the sexual escapades of others. Now the joke is on him.
Let's face it. David Letterman is finished. I predict that he will be off the air within a year. And when that happens it won't be a minute too soon.

Sarah Palin's book "Going Rougue" won't be released until November 17th, but it's already a best seller.
Not coincidentally I believe, Sarah's husband Todd has just quit his oil field job on the North Slope. (Link) I guess that it is not surprising given that his wife will be making millions off from her best selling book. In fact, she has already got a multimillion dollar advance. So Todd can afford to quit his job and spend more time with his kids and devote his attention to helping Sarah manage her writing and speaking career. He will also be well positioned to help her if she decides to make a future run at a political office.
It's just amazing how popular Governor Palin has become in spite of the fact that she has always been savaged by the liberal media. It seems that the more they dump on her the more popular she gets.
I guess that David Letterman can eat his heart out. His constant belittling of Sarah on his late night show apparently has not been very effective. And of course as we have just learned, Letterman now has his own problems. Letterman has admitted to sleeping with female staffers from his show. And remember that he is their boss. This seems like actionable sexual harassment to me. And it brings out Letterman's hypocrisy. Remember a few weeks ago when Letterman on his program joked that Sarah's daughter was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez? Now it looks like the shoe is on the other foot and the joke is on Letterman.
Of course I am not condoning the fact that someone tried to blackmail Letterman. He did the right thing when he notified authorities about it. But I still think that Letterman is being subjected to poetic justice.
Meanwhile unencumbered by Letterman or anyone else, Sarah Palin will continue serving her country while out of political office, and hopefully she will make a run at the GOP presidential nomination in either 2012 0r 2106. She is young enough that she can be on the political scene for many years to come. Go Sarah!

Meanwhile unencumbered by Letterman or anyone else, Sarah Palin will continue serving her country while out of political office, and hopefully she will make a run at the GOP presidential nomination in either 2012 0r 2106. She is young enough that she can be on the political scene for many years to come. Go Sarah!
