Fred Astaire's original version of "A Foggy Day"

Tuesday, November 15, 2011

It doesn't get any better than this. Fred does this great Irving Berlin song justice even though he was a dancer not a singer. It's from the 1937 film "A Damsel in Distress." My second favorite version of the song is Frank Sinatra's.

The attempted high tech lynching of Herman Cain

Friday, November 4, 2011

This Herman Cain web ad correctly says that the media is attacking him and compares his situation to the allegations Clarence Thomas faced at his Supreme Court nomination hearings.
Herman Cain is showing initial resilience in the face of allegations of sexual impropriety: More than half of potential Republican voters say the controversy is not serious, fewer than a quarter say it makes them less likely to support Cain, and he’s running essentially evenly with Mitt Romney for the Republican presidential nomination.
