We cannot allow Obama to become a left wing dictator

Sunday, January 26, 2014

Jay Carney has said that Obama plans to bypass Congress by issuing executive orders. Well according to the Constitution we have three branches of the federal government that are coequal. The executive branch cannot govern alone. If Obama tries to overstep his bounds look for the courts to get involved. No president can be a dictator. In fact I think it's time that we get a definitive ruling from the Supreme Court about just how much authority a president has to issue executive orders. If Congress is obstructive then it's up to the voters to elect a congress that is less so if that's what they want. But just because Congress is obstructing doesn't give the president the right to bypass Congress. That's not how the system is supposed to work.
